Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I figure I would say it now then the actual day.. only because I know I'll be busy. The most asked question... "what are you thankful for?" I'm thankful for just living each day and trying to make the best out of it by improving my artistic skills. Still slow, but surely ^__^. I'm happy being able to see my nephews grow. Very happy to hear my parents voice each day and getting the chance to visit them when I can. Thankful for having a nice brother, the only brother who I can count on when I need his help. My sister in-law, Janice, for understanding me and giving me two handsome nephews! My husband, Corey, whom I love very much with all my heart! I am truly lucky to have him be a part of my life. There is no words in the dictionary that could explain how truly great he is! I'm also happy to be a part of his family. Thankful for all my relatives! Having a lot of aunts, uncles and cousins is.. is...AWESOME!! I don't have a lot of friends, but I am thankful for the ones that still remember me HAHAHA!  I'm extremely thankful for, Eric, owner of Giant Robot, for allowing me to make his logo into plushes, and for inviting me to do Post-It art that is happening on Dec. 7.  Hmm... I think that's about it. Probably might have missed some thankful, but just know that I am thankful for all the support and love! I'm just happy and thankful to be alive!

It took me 7 hours to complete this. There are still imperfections, but I'm happy the way it turned out.

Since my husband has my acrylic paints, I can't finish my other project. So I decided to mess with sculpey III so far I like it.

Since I had a bit of time. I thought I would make my Uglydoll friends character into plush form. And here is the outcome ^____^

This one was tough for me and I still have a lot to learn on attaching props. 

SDCC 2013

Giant Robot Plushes San Diego Comic Con 2013

Whew! What an experience! Times like this I should really push myself to learn how to use the sewing machine. I have been saying that forever =/  But I had tons of fun sewing each one by hand. The 40 robots are all unique and made with love ^___^

 I want to thank Eric Nakamura, owner of Giant Robot, for letting me sew his robots and for letting me be part of Comic Con! 

So there are 2 colors/designs that are limited to 20 each, a total of 40. I picked black and yellow because the color of SDCC logo. I'll also be attaching tags that are numbered and stamped with my initials. If you are interested in them.. they'll probably be put online or sold in store (if any are left).

Now, I shall go back to finishing up my practice vinyl customs ^___^

UGLYCON

Since I make Giant Robot Plushes for Eric, I was inspired to make these Babos for Uglycon.  I am surprised that it will be hung up with other artist o___o  I am happy and excited! These will be up for sale and whoever snags them at Uglycon, I'd like to say Thank You in advance and I am very happy you liked him/them. ^___^

Wondercon

Been awhile since I last post. I've been too busy with plushes for Giant Robot. I'm making special ones, I guess you can say, for San Diego Comic Con. So stay tuned for that. In the mean time don't forget to check out my ETSY site and my 2 customs in the CARTEL shop.
