I have just a few customs on bigcartel

Still getting use to sculpting on vinyl figures. It's been difficult and fun so far. Right now I'm working on a cat with a mouse on top of its head. So stay tune ^___^

Etsy Shop

My Etsy shop is now open ^__^ http://www.etsy.com/shop/hicahu  You are probably wondering what does "hicahu" mean? Well I couldn't get hch5, hch05, or hch as a shop name because they were all taken =(. HICAHU is pronounced He-ka-who, which is basically the first two letters of my first, middle, and last name.

Banner

This will be a part of my Etsy banner.

I'm not going to call this a business card, but I finally got my art cards in the mail. I will be selling my watercolor paintings on Etsy soon. Stay tuned. ^__^

Pumpkin

A D.I.Y figure that I sculpted into a pumpkin head. I'm happy the way this turned out. I don't have any sculpting experience, but I pulled through and still have so much to learn.

About Me

It's always hard to write or tell someone "about me."

-For starters, I have been drawing since I was 5 yrs. old. There was a point in my life where I stopped drawing and got into basketball. When I was about 10 yrs. old I went back into drawing because one of my classmate inspired me. I was thinking if he can do it then I can do it too. So, I would sketch and sketch in my free time up until now. I would say my skills still needs a lot of improvement, but I am getting there slowly.

-Right now my medium is watercolor. I have had so many trial and errors and I think I finally got the hang of it, but there is so much more to learn about this medium. I'm also getting into customizing DIY figures. It's tough but fun!

-My most favorite artists are David Horvath and Sun-Min Kim, creators of Uglydoll.

-Other artist I also admire is Simone Legno, Vanessa Ramirez, Mari Inuakai, Chris Ryniak, Valerie Gudell(she inspired me to do DIY figs.), Rob Sato (love his watercolor paintings), Dan Goodsell, Debbie Huey, Jack Edjourian( my co-worker who I bow down to) and a whole bunch more that I can't even think of right now.

-My art is aimed towards people of all ages.

-It brings me great happiness when people smile at my artwork and I too, find myself smiling.

-I appreciate for all the support and fans who have stuck with me on day 1. Even though my art has been kinda slow you guys are always there waiting to see what I come up with next and that is what I'm thankful for, for never leaving my side ^___^ It is what keeps me going.

-To the new fans: Welcome ^____^

-That's about it for now, till then thanks for hopping on board with me and my adventures.
