Westy and Scout test

windy storm!

Yesterday was my birthday and it was a very somewhat depressing day!  The day before my birthday, at around 8pm, I heard some thumps on the roof and it turns out they were pine cones. It was super windy outside which was unexpected, it was like a really bad hurricane but no rain!  As soon as 9pm hit the electricity kept flicking on and off, and finally it all went black for about 3 hours. Corey and I were celebrating that the lights came back on again, then after 40 mins, BLACKOUT once again and that lasted until today before 1am! Now everything is back to normal, and hopefully that is the last storm!

Despite the storm, Corey brought me to a buffet that night and we filled up our stomach because we hadn't eaten the whole day =/ and today this morning he treated me to panera bread. So overall it was a good birthday. What even made it more special is all the wishes from my family and friends. That is the best present of all!

happy thanksgiving

I thought I'd wish you guys a Happy Thanksgiving Day, a day early. Tomorrow I'll be the chef, totally super excited even if it's a small meal I'm preparing for 3. We're having chicken: aka--> turkery HAHA..., corn, roasted tomato with olive oil, thyme, and garlic on top, asparagus,  gravy w.mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and baked cookies for dessert.  What are your plans for Thanksgiving? 

I guess I should also write what I'm thankful for. Even though I don't have a job and struggle a bit, I am just thankful for being alive! Having a great husband who guides and supports me through my artwork, I am just so blessed to have him in my life. My parents whom I love very much, I always enjoy spending Thanksgiving with them and cooking for them, and last but not least to my brother and his family love you guys a lot and wish you were here! Too all my friends and fans LOVE YOU TOO ^__^ thanks for following!

The First

Westy, Scout, and Flying Mustard Bear, These are my first hand sewn of them. I gave Scout to my 

mom, she liked him a lot. These were done in the year 2009 so it's been 2 years and 6 months.  I gave some away to my friends, and people have bought them to support me which I am very thankful for! I miss them so much, but I know they are in good hands ^___^  I also had a contest for Westy and Scout. The lucky winners were from Hawaii and California.  These characters means so much to me and I'm still working on them to evolve. It's slow, but it's going ^___^ For the fans who follow them, which is 23 on facebook, I am thankful for. I also won't forget the ones who are still with me since day one, THANKS!

My latest project is sculpting Westy.  The top one is my 1st attempt. The bottom one is my 2nd attempt, because out of sadness the 1st one fell and from the neck line it crack all the way around. Why not fix the first one? Why... yes ^__^, he is fixed thanks to my fiancee. I just had to touch it up. Looking at Westy puts a smile on face as well as my moms. Does it make you smile? I have a 3rd Westy sculpted and won't be finish till after Thanksgiving.  He has his best friend, Scout, standing next to him can't wait to show you guys! As always, stay tuned ^___^
